High temperature & high pressure equipment

Isostatic Press

| HIP : Hot Isostatic Press

A hot isostatic pressing machine is a device that maximizes product performance by sintering material parts under ultra-high temperature/high pressure conditions to reach a density close to theoretical density.

| DESCRIPTION

  • Technology that maximizes mechanical performance by sintering material parts under ultra-high temperature/high pressure conditions to reach 100% of the theoretical density of the product.
  • Equipment that simultaneously utilizes high temperature and high pressure using gas as a pressure medium in a special container. The pressure medium uses an inert gas, and since isotropic pressure occurs, the shape of the product does not change, and it is a technology that improves existing physical properties by removing pores or defects inside the product under heat and pressure conditions and densifying/compacting.
  • Core technologies such as high temperature/high pressure (2000℃ & 200MPa) system and special container (extreme temperature & pressure), safety system, etc. are required.

| FEATURES

  • High temperature & high pressure (2000℃ / 200MPa)
  • Internal pores and defects removed, theoretical density reached 100%
  • Densification under low pressure conditions compared to CIP
  • Product life extension and reduced scrap loss
  • Simplification of processing process
  • Removal of sintering additives
  • Improvement of product surface quality

| BENEFITS

  • Pressure limit expansion through Wire Winding technology
  • Safety design through ASME U1 U2 U3 high pressure certification
  • PC / IoT data real-time monitoring device
  • Safety accident prevention system such as pressure / heating / gas leakage
  • Process waste gas recycling technology

| APPLICATIONS

  • Aerospace industry: Performance improvement through removal of internal pores in nickel-based superalloys and titanium parts used in aircraft engines and structural parts
  • Medical industry: Performance improvement in CoCr, Ti alloy, and STS material parts used in medical implants, knees, and hip joints
  • Semiconductor: Sputtering Target, etc.
  • Automotive industry: Al Alloy parts, etc.
  • Power generation industry: Densification of turbine blades, disks, and components to improve performance
  • 3D printing industry: Post-processing to complement the weak density of 3D printing
  • Diffusion bonding: Bonding process of similar and different materials
  • Powder metallurgy & MIM: Manufacturing high-performance products compared to simple shape processing (CIP / Pressing) and casting / forging processes
